Genealogy
Records of birth, death, and marriage may be made available for genealogical research, subject to certain requirements. The application form can be downloaded here.
Please Note: These records are not available for public viewing and are released only for approved genealogical purposes.
Eligibility Requirements
Birth Records:
Must be on file for at least 75 years
The individual must be known by the applicant to be deceased (proof required)
No information will be released from sealed birth certificates
Death Records:
Must be on file for at least 50 years
Marriage Records:
Must be on file for at least 50 years
Both bride and groom must be known by the applicant to be deceased (proof may be required)
Descendant Exception
The time requirements listed above may be waived if the applicant is a direct descendant (e.g., child, grandchild) of the person named in the record. Proof of direct lineage is required.
