Highway Department

Ron Beach III has been a dedicated public servant for the Town of Caledonia since the early 2000s, bringing years of experience and a strong commitment to his community. Prior to his current role, Ron worked for the Town of Wheatland before returning to Caledonia. He served as Deputy Highway Superintendent for many years, building a deep understanding of the town’s infrastructure and operations. In 2023, his hard work and expertise were recognized when he was appointed as the Highway Superintendent.

As Highway Superintendent, Ron oversees the daily operations of the Town Highway Department, which is comprised of a full-time team of four employees. Additionally, part-time workers assist with essential tasks like roadside mowing during the summer and snow and ice control during the winter. The Highway Superintendent has discretion over the hiring of all department personnel.

The responsibilities of the Highway Superintendent extend beyond just road maintenance; Ron also manages the Town’s Transfer and Recycle Station located at the corner of Middle Road and Daley Road. Open Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the station accepts brush, non-recyclable waste for a fee, and recyclable materials free of charge.

Ron Beach III’s extensive experience and leadership ensure that the Town of Caledonia’s infrastructure remains in top condition, and his dedication continues to positively impact the community.
