Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is a five-member board that meets on an as-needed basis to review and make decisions on zoning-related applications. The board primarily handles requests for variances, including use variances and area variances. A use variance allows a property owner to use their land in a way that does not comply with the existing zoning laws, while an area variance permits deviations from specific zoning requirements, such as setbacks, lot sizes, or building heights. The ZBA plays a critical role in balancing property rights with community zoning regulations.

Meetings are on an as-needed basis and have no set schedule. When a meeting is going to happen, a Legal Notice will be posted to our website and the newspaper.
